Currently showing are works by Francis Bacon, Douglas Coupland, Marcel Dzama, Tanis Saxby and Willem de Kooning in addition to Gordon Smith, Angela Grossman, Jack Shadbolt, Raymond Clements, Joseph Kyle and Richard Ciccimarra. We have some new works up on the website and at the gallery, we invite you to view them online or in person! Some of our new inventory includes Doug Coupland, Jeff Wall, Francis Bacon, Brian Boulton, Attila Richard Lukacs, Alan Wood and Jack Shadbolt. We are also helping sell the works collected by the late Arne Olsen, which include a number of BC Artists as well as an extensive collection of pottery by Wayne Ngan, some of which can be viewed online as well. Additionally, we will soon have sculptures by Tanis Saxby at the gallery.

Happy New Year! Elan is pleased to announce that we have launched a new blog dedicated exclusively to posting images from the Joseph Kyle Paintings Archive, feel free to visit, follow, like and reblog.

In the past few months Elan has been greatly involved in a few exciting endeavors! The Fall 2012 issue of Arabella features a twenty-two-page article on the work of Joseph Kyle, including twenty-three excellent reproductions of his paintings. You are welcome to visit their website or pick up the issue at Chapters or some of the better Magazine stores. Elan Fine Art was also present at the 2012 International Art Fair in Toronto, which took place in October. The Elan booth showed work by Jack Shadbolt, Willem de Kooning, Ignacio Iturria, Betty Goodwin, Barbara Astman, Joseph Kyle and Angela Grossman. We also met many wonderful people and saw some great art.

Elan will be presenting a number of visual concerts. A “visual concert” is where people sit and view one painting at a time allowing audience members to engage and experience each piece more fully and without distraction. Others who have attended in the past have expressed that the visual concert is a unique and powerful experience.
