This is the first frame of Louis le Prince’s 1888 film, the first moving picture, accompanied by its Base64 transmediation. This version, on floppy (film lighting) gel and acetate, has the ethereal feel of information in cyberspace, yet relates to the materiality and movement of the original image on film. They join the first and latest medium of a moving image.
